EXHIBIT SPECIFICATIONS

Exhibit Contents – The Original Textile Works

  • 36 fabric collage and embroidered pictures in plexiglass cases with D-rings weighing 25-60 lbs. ready to be wall-mounted
  • Informative Display Panels, Portrait of the Artist and Map
  • 30-minute award-winning documentary, “Through the Eye of the Needle” produced by Art and Remembrance and directed by Nina Shapiro-Perl, featuring interviews of the artist, her daughters and others (with subtitles for ADA compliance)
  • Website Resources with biographical information, educational materials, and a gallery audio guide to the art work (gallery guide printed transcript included)
  • Exhibit guide for teachers and students
  • High-resolution images of pictures for publicity and press use

Exhibit Requirements

  • Security: Moderate/high, surveillance while open to the public
  • Light Levels: 5 foot candles or less
  • Temperature and Humidity: 70 degrees and 50% – 60% relative humidity
  • Space: 100 to 140 linear feet with a minimum of 8ft ceiling height
  • Wall conditions: Painted surface with either drywall backed with plywood or heavy-duty studs with proper anchors
  • Professional installation required

Photographic Images Exhibit

This alternate exhibit – Images of the Art of Esther Nisenthal Krinitz is designed for exhibit venues that cannot meet the above requirements, such as community centers, libraries and art galleries. It consists of near full-size photographic images capturing the vivid color and three-dimensional quality of the original fabric works. The images are on durable panels with D-rings for easy wall mounting. The exhibit includes all other components of the textile exhibit.
